Question: I need filler in my hollow temples and cheeks. Why go with Bellafill which seems much more costly than other fillers?
Answer: Voluma, Radiesse, Sculptra and Juvederm are temporary fillers compared to long-term fillers such as Bellafill. Your first priority is to choose a filler that is safe. Second, the costs of facial volumization are much higher than for filler injection of lines and wrinkles. Thus, it’s important to consider what your long-term maintenance costs will be rather than simply what you spend today. For instance, Juvederm Plus lasts about a year in the cheeks. If you need five syringes, at $850 per syringe, you pay $4,250 for a one year result. Since it costs $4,250 per year to maintain the results, you pay $21,250 over five years. With Radiesse, Voluma and Sculptra, the cost may be even higher. In comparison, five syringes of Bellafill cost $5,250. Bellafill is very safe and lasts at least five years but studies show the Bellafill crystals to even be present 13 years after injection. Do you prefer to spend $4,250 per year (or $21,250 over five years) for a temporary filler or $5,250 upfront for Bellafill which does not require such yearly maintenance treatments and lasts at least five years?
Also, a temporary filler that lasts a year actually means that some of it goes away by 6-9 months, with only part of it still present at one year. In contrast, the Bellafill crystals stimulate your body’s own natural collagen constantly to replenish the lost collagen in your face, thus, reducing the need for the frequent maintenance treatments.
The benefits of Bellafill include a high safety profile, long duration, natural results and cost-effectiveness. These are the facts. It’s up to you to decide whether to opt for a temporary filler or the long-lasting Bellafill.
It is a misconception to think you should only seek a surgeon for surgery. Facial Plastic Surgeons have in-depth knowledge of facial anatomy and expertise in both non-surgical and surgical facial aesthetic treatments. Each time you have a non-surgical cosmetic procedure by a less qualified doctor, you increase your risk of complications and poorer results. When it comes to your face, why would you consider less than a Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon? Log on to ABFPRS.org.
